Coding of new or existing web-sites is an additional offering of McCague Scientific Consulting, and particularly suited to the development of sites of a scientific nature. Meeting current standards, new coding is hand-compiled in W3C-validated XHTML 1.0 Strict for mark-up and CSS for design to give best cross-browser compliance, future-proofing and to enable portability between servers.

An emphasis of the approach here is that the developed site belongs fully to you and it is easy to modify and develop. Sites can be either prepared from scratch, or the coding can be rewritten to bring to modern standards, i.e. to replace a rigid and cumbersome Table-based layout with a flexible CSS based one. The site can be written entirely to your design, or based on the style of your existing marketing literature. Assistance can also be given to showing what is possible with the design through use of different coding techniques. Additional features can be introduced as needed using PHP for server side control, or Javascript for client side effects. PHP is used in this site for the Contact Form and the calculators for crystallisation resolution and purification.

To add animation to this page click here. This displays a background graphic image that scrolls by incrementing its position according to the CSS through the document object model (DOM). Once the scrolling graphic is present, clicking on it will make it go away. Also, the logo is switched by this link to an animated .gif file and will revert to the normal logo by clicking on it once. These behavours are generated though Javascript manipulation of the DOM and are to show the kind of effects that may easily be introduced.
